Faces of Occupy Maine

This has been a very busy month and it's been hard to keep track of current events between work and family life.  The other day on my way to a photo shoot, I noticed that Lincoln Park on Congress Street in Portland had been converted to a mini camp for those Mainer's who are in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York and across the globe.  It was a surprising sight to see tents set up in a park in downtown Portland.  This morning with some free time in my schedule I made a visit to the park to meet some of the faces of those who are standing up for what they believe in, the 99%.  The weather today is pretty lousy with pouring rain and those committed to the cause are doing it rain or shine!  I had a bit of chat with Shane (in the hat) and after a while he asked if I would take his photo.  It is not easy advocating for any cause these days but I do appreciate those who just want to be heard.
