12 Hours of Bradbury Race Photos

Congrats go out to all of the racers that competed in this years 5th annual 12 Hours of Bradbury Mountain!  It was an amazing Fall day to be on the course watching and photographing this event.  To all of the racers, thanks for proving all of the inspiration for me to stay on the course through the end to document your efforts on the trails. This was a high yield event for me with lots of fantastic pictures shot though my camera. I will be posting photos to my www.jeffscher.smugmug.com site in about a week, images can be purchased directly though this site. If you are looking for photos now, hang in there as I have a lot of raw files to process and then upload.  I have had a quick peak at the images and there are ton of awesome shots. I know this year I captured more racers then I ever have in the previous years I have photographed this event.  Thanks for checking back soon.

Kevin Browne Architecture

I have worked with Kevin Browne on quite a few projects over the years.  Yesterday I received a last minute call from him to photograph some detail shots for a house he designed on Noyes Street in Portland that was built by Redfern Homes.  Maine Home and Design Magazine was running a small piece on Kevin and this project but need a few more photos to complete the story.  The homeowner was great and opened his doors wide open for us to get what we needed at the last second.  This shot shows the master bedroom and stairs that lead to the third floor suite.

Shapes and Colors

Walking around the Old Port with my camera and looking up is sometimes all it takes to see an interestering image.  There is always something to capture that I had not noticed before.  This was taken right next to the Hub furniture building on Fore Street.  Clean lines, nice colors and a well balanced composition.  Point and shoot!

Evening cruise on Casco Bay

Saint Joseph's College hired me recently to photograph an event they were hosting for their alumni on a chartered Casco Bay Lines boat.  The weather did not cooperate with blue skies and sun but with overcast skies and mist did provide an interestering backdrop for photos on the boat.  As we were heading back to Portland I spied this ferry headed across Casco Bay with the lights of Portland on the horizon.
