Cyclocross at Gloucester Day 2

The race at Gloucester is always a great two day race to watch.  I was there to watch Sunday's elte men race.  This year Tim Johnson and Jeremy Powers battled hard for first place.  After hammering each other for most of the race in a greuling duel.  Near the end Tim Johnson had the extra kick in his legs to take first in a strong finish ahead of Jeremy Powers (2nd) and his other Cannondale Teammate Jamey Driscoll who took third place.  My complete photo coverage of the race can be viewed on my smugmug site HERE.

Exotic Cars in Greenwich, CT

Nothing blows my mind more then going to the supermarket in this town and seeing a Ferrari F40 parked next to an SUV, a Benz of course.  This is beauty that is Greenwich.  You never know what you will see and if it is high end it exists somewhere within this beautiful town.  I had a quick assignment in town and as I was heading out of town I decided to stop over at Miller Motorcars on Route one to see what kind of automotive insanity that had parked on their lot.  Maserati and Ferrari's dominate their lots but they had a beautiful Porsche GT3 and a rare Ford GT shining in the mid day sun.  I also stopped over at the Bentley dealer on Railroad Avenue where they had two classic 1960 era Aston Martin DB cars... Bond James Bond was what came to mind.  Nice to dream and absolutely georgeous to view.  Back to reality!

Power of the Point and Shoot

This past Saturday I was sitting in traffic on the West Highway in Manhattan on my way to a photograph a few buildings for a Maine Client when I saw this amazing structure.  Holy crap... where is that point and shoot!  With my foot firmly on the brake pedal and traffic not moving at all I snapped off about a half a dozen shots before the traffic got rolling.  It was not until I got back to my office and looked at the files that I realized what a great shot I had captured.  More and more I am realizing that some of the best vantage points for architectural photography within a city is right in the center of traffic.  Luckily I had great timing on my side for this shot.

Urban Skateboarding

I am always looking for new urban locations for on-going my athlete portrait series and came upon this location recently.  A quick call to my go to friend and local hero Todd Swinton and we had photos happening in a hurry.
